Thursday, June 9, 2011

• The weather has cooled down and it's not going to be sweltering hot at my friend's wedding tomorrow. 
• It did not rain this afternoon, as it was supposed to, so Connor's class got to go on their field trip (they were walking to the bowling alley).
• Dinner at Chris's dad's house tonight. Yay for not cooking, especially when I'm already losing my mind!

• The wedding rehearsal for my friend's wedding went well & Lucy did great.
• The priest said there will be someone at the wedding guiding us along which is great because none of us know what we're doing.
• We had a very nice dinner after the rehearsal at church.
• My mother-in-law has been so helpful and babysitting a bunch.

• I turned over my preschool secretary binder to the new secretary. While it was a fun year being on the board, I'm glad to have a reprieve.
• Yummy ice cream and a nice chat with my successor.
• Watermelon on a hot day

Monday, June 6, 2011

• I found a pair of shoes for Lucy to wear to the wedding we're standing up in on Friday at the first store we went to at the mall this morning (and a pair for me). Yes leave it to me to wait until the last minute for these kinds of things.
• Lucy's flower girl dress still fit her when I tried it on her this morning. It had been a couple months since she tried it on, and she's been growing so much I thought I'd better make sure before the wedding day. 
• The aforementioned dress washed up quite nicely (after I realized it had a few spots on it when she tried it on today...). So glad I didn't have to go last minute dress shopping! 
• My dog is so gentle and sweet that she co-exists perfectly fine with the bunnies in our backyard. I don't think those bunnies even flinch when Cleo comes outside.
• I got an email about a giveaway I'll soon have the pleasure of hosting here on the blog.

• I got to sleep in this morning
• Spent this lovely afternoon at the G.P. Shores park and pool
• The pool was the perfect temperature (important because I'm a huge wimp when it comes to cold pools)
• Walked to and from the park - yay for exercise! Doesn't happen often enough lately...
• My mother-in-law's homemade cheesecake - delicious!
• 5 more days of school!!!

• Central air
• My friend Angela picked Connor up for a few hours so he could hang out with boys for awhile and escape from Girl World
• The kids finished the brownies...good thing or I would have!!
• All four kids staying overnight at Chris's moms, Chris went out with a friend and I got to have the house to myself for once
• Texting...I love the simplification of phone conversations
• Mexican at Pacos in Mt. Clemens tonight
• Pandora radio

• The brownies I made from scratch turned out reeeeaaaaallllly good
• A phone call from my friend Pauline inviting me out today - although I already had plans, it was nice to be invited!
• Visiting with my friend Shelly, and the fact that I've been seeing a lot of her because I love her!
• Lucy & Mathilda behaved themselves at Shelly's house
• Shelly is recovering (slowly but surely...) from her surgery
• It was nice out today so we got to hang out outside
• Our teenage neighbor must have been bored today because she hung out with my kids all afternoon/evening and they love her
• A fun night out with my friend Hilary
• All of my wonderful friends!
• Chris's band got some possibly very exciting news, as soon as it's definite I'll share...
