I clearly remember the first time I rode in a limo. I was in ninth grade, and a group of my girlfriends and I decided to go in together and rent a limo for Homecoming. There were probably about ten of us crammed into the limo. I know I have pictures, but I might make some old friends pretty unhappy if I post them! We were all dressed up, with hair up to there (I believe the year was 1989) and it was our first formal dance, so it was an exciting and special event for us. Riding in the limo made us feel more grown up and made the night more memorable. Actually, my memories of being at school for the dance are very vague, but I do remember riding around in the limo before the dance. If you're looking to hire a limousine in the Bay Area, you could try typing limo service bay area in your browser's search engine and you'll be sure to find some great options.
While my first limousine experience was a very special occasion, Bethany and Connor first rode in a limo on the way to the airport. Yes, more than once we have had a limo come to our house to pick us up and take us to the airport. It's a spacious, comfortable, and convenient way to start out a trip and worked well for us. We weren't crammed into a shuttle with our baby gear, and we could stretch our legs and relax for the last time until our return home. Because I think it's common knowledge that parents are typically in desperate need of a vacation by the time they get home from a family trip.
Not only was it logistically convenient for us to ride via limousine to the airport, it also made the build up to our vacations more exciting and fun. Taking a mundane activity, like riding along the freeway to the airport, and adding an unexpected element to it, such as a limo ride, can turn a potentially stressful or boring ride into something memorable and special.
Have you ever hired a limo for something out of the ordinary?
