I don't know about you, but I am a HUGE fan of J.R.R. Tolkien's work. I read The Hobbit and the Lord of the Ring series years ago, and was hesitantly excited when the movie adaptations started coming out. Hesitant because, well, you never know if your favorite books are going to be totally botched when you see them on the silver screen! The Lord of the Rings trilogy was beautiful, true to the books, and not at all disappointing. What a relief! But I really couldn't wait to see The Hobbit, which is my favorite Tolkien book.  And when that movie came out, once again, I was not disappointed. Well, I was a little disappointed that I have to wait so long to see the next installment! But I loved the movie and will wait as patiently as I can to see the second movie of this trilogy.
