KLUTCHclub Love
Have you heard of KLUTCHclub? It is a subscription company that delivers customers a box full of health, wellness, and fitness products every month for the low cost of about $17 a month. Since I am really trying to improve my health, wellness, and nutrition right now, I was really excited when I was offered the chance to receive KLUTCHclub's April box, with a theme of "Spring clean your body." I call that serendipity.
I received my box today, and it includes all the goodies you see pictured above. Here's the rundown:
1. Kristin McGee's Power Yoga DVD. My experience with yoga is limited solely to that which can be learned on the Wii Fit, so I am looking forward to trying out this DVD.
2. A $25 gift card for Hyde, which is a retailer selling yoga clothing. Note that I couldn't find anything for less than $48 on the website, but the products are sold in some stores and yoga studios. Deepak Chopra is a fan, so I'm sure it's worth it.
3. Enjoy Life Plentils, which are crunchy lentil chips. The flavor I had in my box was dill and sour cream and they were really good. Yes, past tense. I hate 'em up already. These chips are allergy friendly, which I think is pretty awesome. They are free of 8 common allergens, including: wheat, soy, tree nuts, egg, peanuts, shellfish, dairy, and fish. Plus they contain no artificial anything, and no GMO ingredients. And a snack bag is just 100 calories.
4. Enjoy Life Seed and Fruit Mix. There's no nuts! This snack is also free of the 8 common allergens I listed above. It contains sunflower kernels, pumpkin seeds, raisins, apples, chocolate chips, and cranberries. I noticed on the back of the package it says, "made in a dedicated nut and gluten-free facility." So there's no danger of cross-contamination - I love it! I'm going to pop this snack in my purse so I have something to munch on while I'm on the go.
5. Kind Plus Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate + Protein bar. I've tried Kind bars before, but never this flavor. I love that it contains 7 grams of protein, which is important for an amateur vegetarian like myself. This snack bar is all natural, gluten free, and contains no GMO ingredients. All of this makes me very happy!
6. HyDrive Energy Berry Blast energy drink mix. This is a little packet that you add to 16-20 ounces of water. It is naturally flavored, and has zero calories, but it does contain 160 mg of caffeine - just so you know. I could have used this stuff this afternoon. I was dragging butt today.
7. Shea Terra Organics Rose Hips Black Soap. This is a 100% natural deep pore facial cleanser. It actually says on the label, "micro-dermabrasion in a bottle." It is supposed to help purify your skin against diseases and infections, and uses an ancient African formula, as well as African ingredients. You massage it into your face and leave it on for 5-10 minutes before rinsing. I think I'm going to try this tonight before bed. No animal testing, bonus!
8. Zico Pure Premium Coconut Water. I've been hearing about coconut water but I didn't know what all the hoopla was about. Apparently this stuff is great to drink after a workout because it supports rapid hydration. It contains 5 essential electrolytes: potassium (more than a whole banana!), magnesium, sodium, calcium, and phosphorus. I'm going to put this in the fridge to chill and drink it after a workout this week. If I decide to try to finish myself off with that crazy ab workout again, this drink could certainly come in handy.
9. Tea Forte. These are organic teas that are "skin smart antioxidants." In my box I have: honey yuzu, green tea for natural renewal; cherry marzipan, green tea for corrective repair; and cucumber mint, green tea for youth recovery. I enjoy flavored teas, and I love that these are good for my skin.
10. Barlean's Organic Flax Oil. I was really excited to get this because I just went to an alternative health seminar a couple days ago and the importance of Omega-3 was discussed. According to the Barlean's website, flax oil helps to support things like heart health, energy & endurance, and hair, skin, and nail health. It can be mixed in foods like yogurt or oatmeal, or added to smoothies. And this stuff is fresh - my bottle was pressed on April 3, 2012.
I'm really thrilled with my KLUTCHclub box! If you decide to join, KLUTCHclub has partnered with Bright Pink, an organization that helps promote early detection, prevention, and awareness of breast and ovarian awareness. During the month of May, enter code BrightPink to get 10% off your purchase, AND KLUTCHclub will donate 10% to Bright Pink as well.
I received a complimentary KLUTCHclub box in exchange for this post. All opinions are 100% my own.
