Way back when Bethany was just a little munchkin, and I was expecting Connor, I was feeling the need to do something really special with Bethany before her little brother made his arrival and changed her life forever. My birthday was coming up, and Sesame Street Live was coming to town, so I requested tickets to the show for my birthday present. We went downtown to the Fox Theater for the show - Chris, Bethany, and I, along with his mom & step-dad, and we had crazy fun! Bethany was about 17 months old at the time, and she got so into it! It was hilarious to see her so enthralled, bopping to the music and clapping her hands. Since then, we've gone several times,and had a terrific experience every time.
Sadly, because this is what my life has become, I honestly cannot remember if Mathilda has been to a Sesame Street Live performance! What kind of mother am I?! I think she may have gone when she was a baby. Surely there is photographic evidence somewhere. This is a prime reason why I really need to organize all my photos and memory cards.

Sesame Street Live is coming back to Detroit's Fox Theater in 2013! "Elmo Makes Music" will have 41 shows, starting January 24 and running through February 18.

We've seen "Elmo Makes Music" a time or two. It is a fun story about a new music teacher coming to Sesame Street, and what happens when her truck load of instruments gets lost. I can't wait to take Mathilda, I just know she'll love it! Something new they're doing this time is a Sesame Street Live Play Zone!
